Women in Business Spotlights Dyer’s Service to Youth and Families at March Meeting

Sunday, March 22, 2026 — Members of the Sequoyah County Women in Business organization met last week to celebrate the power of women supporting one another. Lindsie Dyer, a youth and family service counselor with People Inc., served as the guest speaker for the March meeting and was honored for her extensive community outreach.

With more than 15 years of experience, Dyer shared both her personal and professional journey, highlighting her passion for helping youth and families across Sequoyah County. Her work includes providing no-cost counseling services to individuals under the age of 18, as well as leading outreach efforts and public education initiatives focused on youth and family well-being.

In addition to her role at People Inc., Dyer serves as board president for the Sequoyah County Boys and Girls Club and the Sallisaw NOW Coalition and is also a member of the Pervasive Parenting Board.

She works closely with local schools, including serving as a counselor at Moffett Schools, where she provides direct support to students and offers training for educators and child-serving organizations throughout the county.

Beyond her work in mental health and education, Dyer helps keep the community informed through her involvement with local radio station KXMX The MIX 105.1. There, she produces and delivers news content and hosts “County Talk at 2,” a program that highlights community events and local leaders.

She is also actively involved in the Community Resource Network, collaborating on outreach efforts such as the annual Back-to-School Roundup, free Thanksgiving community dinner, and Christmas assistance programs for families in need.

Dyer’s ability to connect across multiple sectors makes her a valuable asset to the community. Through her work, she continues to make a lasting impact by supporting youth, strengthening families, and improving the overall well-being of Sequoyah County.
