Webinars scheduled to raise awareness and educate community on critical issues

Monday, March 11, 2024 - The Sequoyah County Coordinated Response and Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Teams (CCR/SART) have initiated a new public awareness initiative for 2024.

The aim is to conduct at least one Zoom webinar each month, focusing on educating the community about various aspects of trauma caused by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.

Webinars scheduled for April include sexual violence, rape culture, and victim blaming. Part 1 is scheduled for April 15 at 6 p.m., and Part 2 is set for April 22 at 6 p.m.

In addition, on April 29 at 6 p.m., a webinar will take place focusing on the effects that domestic violence has on children.

All webinars are open to the public and provide valuable insights into crucial issues affecting individuals and communities where you live.

The webinar links will be posted on the Sequoyah County CCR/SART Facebook page closer to the event dates.
