Monday, September 20, 2022 - On Saturday, October 1, Lake Tenkiller will be hosting "Tidy up Tenkiller" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The purpose of the clean-up event is to restore the originality of the waters and shorelines within the community we live in.
Tidy Up Tenkiller is a community-generated effort that takes place twice a year to sustain Lake Tenkiller’s natural beauty. Over the years, natural disasters and human negligence have taken a toll on nearby rivers and lakes.
Volunteers are needed to assist in picking up trash and debris in several designated areas. Volunteers must be 18 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All registered volunteers will be provided with gloves, bags, safety gear, and lunch. The check in/out station along with lunch will be located at the Chicken Creek south pavilion and boat ramp.
Tidy up Tenkiller is a joint initiative between the Greater Tenkiller Area Association (GTAA) lake clean-up committee and the Lake Tenkiller area community organizations and residents.
If you would like to volunteer, you can register at www.laketenkiller.com or visit the Greater Tenkiller Area Association Facebook page.
