Wednesday, January 11, 2023 - A Muldrow man was arrested Jan. 2 and charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, aggravated.
If he is convicted of the misdemeanor charge, Ferrill Justin Casey, 43, could face prison time and a $1,000 fine. He must also undergo at least one year of supervision with periodic testing, aftercare and an ignition interlock for a minimum of 90 days.
At 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 2, a Muldrow police officer was patrolling city limits when he spotted a vehicle traveling north on Wilson Rock Road and swerving between lanes.
When the vehicle stopped, the officer spoke with Casey, who reportedly smelled strongly of alcohol. Casey admitted he’d been drinking that day.
Casey was transported to the Muldrow Police Department for a breath test. His blood alcohol content was .22, court records show.
He was released on $3,000 bond.
