Tuesday, July 12, 2022 - The Boys and Girls Club of Sequoyah County's 3rd Annual Bull Drop Fundraiser will be held on Thursday, August 4. The bull drop will begin following the Sallisaw Lion’s Club Rodeo parade, which is set to start at 5:30 p.m. The bull drop will take place in the parking lot at the corner of Wheeler and Cherokee on the grid.
Chief Executive Officer of the Boys and Girls Club, Laura Kuykendall, said, "We use a printed number grid that corresponds with the grid in the parking lot to determine the winner. We allow the bull 30 minutes to do his "drop" and if he is unable to do his business, alternate fluid drop locations are used to identify a winner."
Tickets cost $5 each and can be purchased from any Boys and Girls Club board member. Board members include: Lindsie Dyer, Amy Edwards, Danielle Sainer, Nikki Garrett, Todd Long, Jessica Taylor, George Bormann, Melissa Lowe, Steven Hatcher, and Kelsey Orendorff.
Tickets can also be purchased at the Sallisaw Club site Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. -4 p.m. The winner will receive fifty-percent of the ticket sales up to $500. The winner does not have to be present to win.
The Sallisaw Boys and Girls Club is located at 208 S. Main St. in Sallisaw.
**The Sequoyah County Boys and Girls Club would like to thank Chad McReynolds for making this fundraiser possible by providing the bull for this event. **
