Third Annual Sequoyah County Baby Shower Scheduled for October 10

Sunday, September 27, 2026 –Expecting parents, new parents, and families from across Sequoyah County are invited to attend the Third Annual Sequoyah County Baby Shower on Saturday, October 10, in Sallisaw.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at First Baptist Church of Sallisaw, located at 122 W. Chickasaw Avenue.

The annual event brings local organizations and community resources together to provide information, education, and support for families with babies and young children.

This year’s baby shower will feature a resource and health education fair, along with games and activities for families. Attendees can also participate in Back to Sleep training and have their child’s car seat checked to help ensure it is properly installed.

Families will also have the opportunity to receive giveaways, including diapers, baby hats, baby board books, and other prizes.

The event is sponsored by the Sequoyah County Health Department, Stanley W. Tubbs Memorial Library, Real Choices Pregnancy Center, and First Baptist Church of Sallisaw.

All Sequoyah County families are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the resources, educational opportunities, and giveaways available during the event.

Local businesses and organizations interested in donating a door prize are encouraged to contact the Stanley W. Tubbs Memorial Library at 918-775-4481.
