Wednesday, February 4, 2026 — Members of Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative, Inc. who receive power from the Sallisaw Substation 5, Feeder 4 will experience a planned power outage on Friday, February 6.
Weather permitting, the outage is scheduled to last from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will affect all members connected to Sallisaw Feeder 4.
According to the cooperative, the temporary service interruption is necessary to safely complete system upgrades aimed at improving reliability for members. Crews from Gordon Construction will conduct the upgrades during the outage. Additional work in the area is planned for a later date, which has not yet been determined.
The accompanying map is provided as a general reference to help members understand the primary area affected by the planned outage. However, the map does not include every specific location impacted. Members are encouraged to confirm their substation and feeder numbers to determine whether they will be affected.
Members can determine which substation and feeder supply their power by checking their monthly electric bill. Those whose bills indicate Substation 5, Sallisaw and Feeder 4 will be included in the outage. Members may also contact Cookson Hills Electric at 800-328-2368 for assistance in verifying their service information.
