Tuesday, May 24, 2022 - The Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library has been hard at work planning summer activities for the area's youth. The library has planned "Meet Our Local Heroes," which will take place on Thursday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m., to kick off the summer fun.
The public is welcome to meet at the west end parking lot of the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library for the opportunity to meet and greet Sequoyah county's local heroes.
Sallisaw Police and Fire Departments, Sequoyah County Sheriffs Department, Pafford EMS, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol will all be present to show and tell about what they do on a daily basis.
Children will also have the chance to take a picture with their favorite local hero.
Additional activities and events are scheduled throughout the summer months, include:
June 8, 2022 - Yoga with Steve on the library lawn, 10:00 a.m.
June 17, 2022 - Science Museum of Oklahoma at the library gazebo, 10:00 a.m.
June 22, 2022 - Bluegrass music at the library gazebo, 10:00 a.m.
June 30, 2022 - Tulsa zoo at the library gazebo, 1:00 p.m.
July 1, 2022 - Jay & Leslie’s Laughing Matter at the library gazebo, 10:00 a.m.
July 5, 2022 - Pet parade at the library gazebo, 10:00 a.m.
July 14, 2022 - Zoo Safari at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds, 4:00 p.m.
July 21, 2022 - Finer arts of Oklahoma at the library, 4:00 p.m.
July 26, 2022 - End of Summer party on the library lawn, 4:00 p.m.
