Thursday, October 21, 2021 - Gary Eads White, 53, of Stilwell was killed Wednesday in a single-vehicle-accident.
The accident occurred at 11:17 p.m. on Bunch Rd. approximately 5.5 miles south of Stilwell.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) report, White was driving a 2009 Toyota Yaris when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left, departed the road and struck a tree.
The OHP report stated that the cause of the accident was unsafe speed and noted the odor of alcohol was present. Seatbelts were not in use.
White was pronounced dead at the scene from head injuries.
The OHP was assisted by Pafford EMS, Adair County Sheriff’s Department, Stilwell Fire and Rescue, and HWY 100 Fire and Rescue.
