Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library Summer Fun for Kids

Monday, June 2, 2025 - The Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library in Sallisaw has announced a full schedule of exciting and educational summer activities for children and teens throughout the month of June.

Each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., the library will host its weekly Story Time, offering children the chance to enjoy fun and engaging stories read aloud by library staff.

On Monday, June 3, the library will welcome the Science Museum of Oklahoma for a hands-on science presentation beginning at 4:00 p.m. Then on Wednesday, June 5, kids can participate in a science-based Egg Spoon Game, also at 4:00 p.m.

Teens will have the opportunity to take part in Dungeons & Dragons games on Monday, June 10, and again on Monday, June 24, both starting at 4:00 p.m. These sessions are designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and storytelling.

Children will create special Father’s Day cards during a kid-friendly science craft event on Wednesday, June 12, at 4:00 p.m. The fun continues on Thursday, June 13, with the Funky Monkey Magic Show at 10:00 a.m., promising plenty of laughs and amazement for all ages.

On Thursday, June 20, the library will host the high-energy Glow Circus, a dazzling performance filled with light and motion, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Another science-themed craft, the Pyramid Slingshot, will take place on Wednesday, June 26, at 4:00 p.m., giving kids the chance to build and learn through hands-on fun.

The month wraps up with a special off-site event on Thursday, June 27, when Pawsitively Wild Animal Encounters will bring exotic animals to the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds. This event begins at 10:00 a.m. and offers families the opportunity to see and learn about a variety of creatures up close.
