Sequoyah County OSU Extension to Host Prescribed Burn Meeting November 10

Sunday, October 12, 2025 – The Sequoyah County OSU Extension Office invites landowners, farmers, and community members to attend a Prescribed Burn Meeting on Monday, November 10. The event is scheduled to take place at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds, starting at 12:00 p.m.

The meeting will focus on the advantages of prescribed burns, providing practical tools and techniques for conducting safe and effective burns, and offering guidance on forming a local Burn Association.

Attendees will receive important information about how prescribed burns support better land management, enhance soil and vegetation, and foster collaboration among local landowners and conservation partners.
