Sunday, November 23, 2025 — Sequoyah County and surrounding communities are preparing for a full day of holiday celebrations as multiple towns roll out their annual Christmas parades, each embracing this year’s shared theme, “Christmas Through the Decades.” From 1950s rock and roll to 1990s nostalgia and beyond, residents can expect a festive mix of old-school charm and modern cheer.
The Vian Lions Club will kick off the parade season with its 47th Annual Christmas Parade of Lights on Thursday, December 4. Line-up begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Vian Baptist Church parking lot, with judging at 5:45 p.m. and the parade starting promptly at 6:00 p.m.
On Saturday, December 13, the earliest parade of the day kicks off in Webbers Falls, where the Town of Webbers Falls will begin its 2025 Christmas Parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13. Line-up begins at 9:30 a.m. at 404 West Commercial, in front of SRS. Community members are invited to dress and decorate in their favorite decade, bringing memories from the 1950s, 1970s, 1980s, and beyond back to life.
Following the parade, Webbers Falls will continue the celebration with its Historical Downtown Christmas event from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The evening will feature historical and biblical reenactments, a live DJ (Kris Mann), vendors, children’s activities, a raffle, free food, and more.
Just down the road, Gore will host its parade at 11:00 a.m., also embracing the “Christmas Through the Decades” theme.
Meanwhile, the Roland Area Chamber of Commerce will host its parade at 12:00 p.m., also on Saturday, December 13. Check-in takes place between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Roland High School Commons parking lot. Parade lineup is first-come, first-served, with pre-registered entries receiving priority. Only registered participants will be judged, and volunteers will be on-site to guide entrants to their positions.
By early afternoon, festivities move on to Marble City, which will hold its Annual Christmas Parade downtown at 2:00 p.m., with line-up beginning at 1:00 p.m. north of town. Organizers are encouraging schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits, politicians, families, and community groups to bring floats, four-wheelers, horses, and other parade entries. Visitors can enjoy hot chocolate and cookies at the historic Citizens State Bank, and Santa Claus is expected to be available for photos before the parade, depending on his North Pole schedule.
Later in the evening, Muldrow will continue the celebration with its parade at 5:30 p.m., also following the “Christmas Through the Decades” theme.
The final parade of the day, and the final parade of the 2025 season, will take place in Sallisaw, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Line-up starts at 5:30 p.m. on Choctaw Street. Float entries will be divided into three categories: business, school and school organizations, as well as churches and nonprofits. For those unable to attend in person, the parade will be livestreamed on the Mix 105.1 KXMX Facebook page, making it easy for the community to tune in from home.
With decorations spanning eras, floats celebrating holiday traditions old and new, and families turning out across the county, this year’s parade lineup promises to bring nostalgia, community spirit, and Christmas cheer to every corner of Sequoyah County and beyond.
