Sequoyah County Free Fair Set for September 9-12


Thursday August, 27 2026 — The Sequoyah County Free Fair is set for September 9-12 at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds, bringing together 4-H members, livestock exhibitors, families, and community members for several days of competition, exhibits, and activities.

 

The fair gives both youth and adults an opportunity to showcase their hobbies, projects, and accomplishments. The Open Class Division is open to any Sequoyah County resident of any age, providing an opportunity for community members to display their work alongside 4-H and livestock exhibitors.

 

Indoor exhibit check-in begins Wednesday, September 9, with non-perishable items accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The day will also feature the 4-H Cupcake Wars at 5 p.m.

 

On Thursday, September 10, perishable exhibits will be checked in from 7:30 to 9 a.m., followed by judging at 10 a.m. Exhibits will be open for public viewing from 1 to 4 p.m. The 4-H Food Showdown will also take place at 1 p.m.

 

Indoor exhibits will again be open for public viewing Saturday, September 12, from 9 a.m. to noon. Exhibits must be picked up Saturday between noon and 1 p.m.

 

The Sequoyah County Fair Livestock Show will take place Saturday, September 12. Animals will check in from 9 to 9:45 a.m., with the livestock show beginning at noon. Livestock exhibits will include heifers, steers, market lambs, goats, rabbits, and poultry, along with market hogs.
