Sequoyah County Communities Gear Up for a Month of Fall Activities and Community Events

Wednesday, October 1, 2025 - Sequoyah County is ready to celebrate fall with a full calendar of family-friendly gatherings, events, and community traditions.
The season kicks off in Muldrow on Saturday, October 4, as the Muldrow Lions Club hosts its beloved Old Settlers Day at Muldrow City Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature local vendors, live entertainment, games, food, and activities for the whole family.
Also, on October 4, Gore will welcome car enthusiasts from across Oklahoma and Arkansas for the Annual Gore Car Show, Poker Run, and Cruise Night. The afternoon begins with a car show, followed by a cruise down Main Street featuring classic and modern vehicles. All events are free for spectators. For more information, call 918-913-1228.
On Friday, October 10, business leaders, educators, and job seekers will gather at Sallisaw Middle School for the River Valley Workforce Development Summit and Career Fair. Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the summit will highlight workforce solutions through presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, with a career fair open from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free, and registration is encouraged.
Downtown Sallisaw will be the place to be on Saturday, October 11, as the Main Street Fall Festival returns with a car show, chili cook-off, arts and crafts, and food vendors beginning at 8 a.m.
In addition, the Sequoyah County Community Baby Shower is set for 10 a.m. at the Wheeler Event Center in Sallisaw on October 11. Families can enjoy health education, games, and activities, with local organizations on hand to provide resources and information.
The celebration continues later in the month with the Sequoyah’s Cabin Museum Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Sallisaw. The day will feature traditional Cherokee games, pumpkin decorating, food trucks, live music, and a special fall photo opportunity.
Closing out the month is Halloween on Elm Street in downtown Sallisaw on Friday, October 31, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Hosted by the Sallisaw Police Department, this community favorite will transform Elm Street into a festive, family-friendly trick-or-treating space with officers on site to ensure a safe celebration.
