Christmas parades are always a crowd-pleaser and at the top of the list of events to attend this time of year. Sequoyah County will not disappoint with parades scheduled for December 5 and 14.
The Vian Lions Club kicks off the list of Christmas parades on Thursday, December 5. The parade theme, “A Grinch Christmas,” begins at 6 p.m. Food trucks are invited to set up with a $25 fee. If interested, contact the Vian Lions Club.
Webbers Falls hosts “A Toyland Christmas” themed parade on December 14 at 10 a.m. Participants include schools, churches, businesses, and individuals. Contact Town Hall at 918-464-2920 to sign up.
The town of Gore's Christmas parade theme is “Christmas Toyland.” The parade begins at 11 a.m. with Santa and Mrs. Claus giving out cookies and ornaments at the park after the parade. Contact Gore Town Hall at 918-489-2636 to participate.
The Roland Area Chamber of Commerce is up next with the town's annual Christmas Parade beginning at 12 p.m. on December 14. The theme for this year’s parade is "Toyland Christmas”. Staging for the parade starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Roland High School parking lot. The parade will head south on Roland Road, ending at the Roland Hills shopping center.
Then it’s onto the annual Christmas parade in downtown Marble City. The parade takes place on December 14 at 2 p.m. The 2024 parade is set to feature the Sequoyah and Stilwell High School marching bands, hot chocolate, cookies, and candy for children.
Sallisaw’s annual Christmas parade will wrap up the day of parades on December 14 at 6:30 p.m., with the parade theme set as “A Toyland Christmas.” Parade entry forms can be picked up at the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce. If you're unable to make it out to the Sallisaw parade in person, The Mix 105.1 will be broadcasting the event live on The Mix Facebook page and MixTV Channel 19.
So, lay out the hats and gloves, pack up the chairs, and make plans to attend Christmas parades in Sequoyah County!
