Sequoyah Animal Advocates Announces New Pet Wellness Clinic Coming to Sallisaw

Tuesday, October 14, 2025 — Animal Advocates has announced the opening of the Sequoyah Animal Advocates Wellness Clinic, a new veterinary wellness center designed to provide affordable and compassionate care for pets in the Sallisaw area.

The announcement was first shared during the Sallisaw Main Street Fall Festival’s chili cook-off last weekend, where organizers revealed plans for the clinic located at 127 E. Quesenbury Ave. in downtown Sallisaw.

While the clinic will not operate as a full-service animal hospital, it will focus on essential pet health services, including routine vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventative flea and tick medications, and a selection of pet supplies and retail items.

What makes this clinic unique is its mission-driven approach. While providing routine, affordable veterinary wellness care for all pet owners, each visit also helps support essential services for animals and families in the community who might not otherwise have access to care.

The new clinic operates under the umbrella of Sequoyah Animal Advocates, a local nonprofit dedicated to improving animal welfare throughout the region. With one of Sallisaw’s long-standing veterinary clinics closing on October 29, the group recognized the need for continued access to basic pet health services and decided to act.

The organization also expressed its gratitude to Dr. Cox, wishing him the best in his next chapter and thanking him for his years of service dedicated to the community and animals he served.

The clinic is set to open in November; however, the official opening date and additional details regarding available services will be announced soon.
