Friday, March 21, 2025 - With election day fast approaching, Sequoyah County Election Board Secretary Ruby Brunk is encouraging voters to check their sample ballots ahead of time. Sample ballots are now available and offer voters a valuable preview of the races and candidates specific to each voter's district.
Voters can access their sample ballot by logging into the Oklahoma Voter Portal. However, Brunk notes that if the portal indicates no sample ballot is available, it means the voter is not eligible to vote in the upcoming election.
“If the OK Voter Portal indicates you have no sample ballots available, it means you are not eligible to vote in an upcoming election,” Brunk explained.
Sample ballots will also be posted outside every precinct polling place on election day, allowing voters to review them before voting.
To avoid confusion or delays at the polls, voters are encouraged to check their election status and sample ballot in advance by visiting the OK Voter Portal at www.oklahoma.gov/elections.
The Sequoyah County Election Board is located at 110 E Creek Ave and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For questions, contact the Election Board at 918-775-2614 or email at sequoyahcounty@elections.ok.gov.
