Tuesday, September 16, 2025 — The Sallisaw Police Department invites families across the community to join in the Spooktacular fun at Halloween on Elm Street, happening Friday, October 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Sallisaw.
This community-favorite event will transform Elm Street, between Cherokee and Chickasaw, into a festive Halloween wonderland. The street will be closed to traffic, giving trick-or-treaters a safe place to fill their candy buckets. Officers will be present throughout the evening to help ensure a safe and spooky night for all.
Businesses, churches, civic groups, and organizations will set up along Elm Street with festive, decorated booths, handing out candy and treats to children in costume. Participants may begin setting up between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. and are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, decorations, and plenty of candy to share.
Adding to the excitement, The Mix 105.1 will broadcast live from Elm Street, playing Halloween favorites, handing out candy, and celebrating the community’s most creative costumes.
Those wishing to be part of the magic, whether by setting up a booth or donating candy, are encouraged to contact Aubrey with the Sallisaw Police Department at 918-315-9066.
