Sallisaw NOW Coalition to Host Medication Take-Back Event November 3

Monday, October 12, 2026 — The Sallisaw NOW Coalition will host its biannual Medication Take-Back Event on Tuesday, November 3, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cliff’s Pharmacy, located at 505 E. Redwood Avenue in Sallisaw.

The event provides an opportunity for community members to safely dispose of unused or expired medications while helping prevent prescription drug misuse, accidental poisonings, and medications from falling into the wrong hands.

Free resources will also be available, including medication lockboxes, sharps disposal kits, Deterra medication deactivation packets, and Narcan.

Proper medication disposal helps protect children, families, and pets while keeping unwanted medications out of the water supply and environment.

Community members are encouraged to take this opportunity to clean out their medicine cabinets and help promote a safer, healthier community.

The Sallisaw NOW Coalition encourages residents to participate and join the effort to prevent substance misuse and protect families throughout the community.
