Sunday, October 5, 2025  Downtown Sallisaw will once again come alive with the sights, sounds, and flavors of fall as Sallisaw Main Street and the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce prepare to host the city’s annual Main Street Fall Festival on Saturday, October 11.

The all-day, family-friendly event promises something for everyone, featuring a range of attractions, from classic cars and delicious chili to live entertainment, local vendors, and small-town charm.

Festivities will begin early, as vendors line the streets by 9 a.m., offering a variety of crafts, handmade goods, and tasty food. Last year’s festival drew nearly 3,000 visitors, and organizers expect another strong turnout this year.

One of the festival’s main attractions, the 49th Annual Car Show, will showcase some of the region’s finest rides. Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Pocket Park, located at the corner of Cherokee and Oak. The entry fee is $20 per vehicle, and judging will include categories such as People’s Choice, Best in Show for cars and trucks (both original and modified), Old School, Special Interest, and Top 25 awards.

Meanwhile, the Chili Cook-Off will bring the heat to Stage Park starting at 9 a.m. Participants can compete in four categories, including 1 Alarm, 2 Alarm, 3 Alarm, and People’s Choice, with no entry fee. Chili must be ready for tasting by 11 a.m., when public taster kits will go on sale. Judging and awards will be at 2 p.m. Winners will receive cash prizes and trophies, with $200 awarded to Judge’s Choice winners in each category and $300 for the People’s Choice winner.

Live music, entertainment, and a festive downtown atmosphere will fill the day as families and friends gather to enjoy one of Sallisaw’s most anticipated annual events.
