Sallisaw Main Street Cancels Holiday Market Due to Forecasted Rain

Wednesday, November 26, 2025 — Sallisaw Main Street has announced the cancellation of its Holiday Market, originally scheduled for Saturday, November 29, due to expected rainfall throughout the day.

Weather forecasts predict steady rain, with the heaviest showers likely to fall during the planned market hours. Organizers said the decision was difficult, made with consideration for vendors who must prepare products in advance and travel to participate.

The popular horse-drawn carriage rides, originally scheduled to take place during the event, will be rescheduled for a later date. Sallisaw Main Street plans to announce the updated time and details once confirmed.
