Sallisaw FOP Lodge 148 Launches Coats for Kids Drive

Sunday, October 11, 2026 — The Sallisaw Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 148 has launched its Coats for Kids drive to help provide warmth to local children in need this winter.

The drive is collecting new and gently used children's coats through the end of October. Community members can donate by dropping coats into collection boxes placed at participating businesses and organizations throughout Sallisaw.

Collection boxes are available at Armory Outfitters, Blue Ribbon Chevrolet, Buckingham Palace, Harry Robinson Sallisaw Ford, KXMX Radio Station, Local Bank, both National Bank of Sallisaw locations, NHS Sequoyah, the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce, Sallisaw City Hall, Sallisaw Police Department, Saucy Rooster, Shelter Insurance and ZZoom Bonding.

Merrill Self Storage is also being recognized for donating the collection boxes to help make the project possible.

Organizers are encouraging residents to donate coats and share information about the drive to help spread the word. Each donation can make a difference in helping ensure local children have a warm coat during the colder months.
