Sallisaw Chamber Recognizes Growing Industry at January Meeting

Friday, January 23, 2026 — The Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce held its January membership meeting on Wednesday, January 21, at Carl Albert State College, marking the first meeting led by the Chamber’s incoming board president, Eric Carter.

Chamber members and guests gathered for networking and updates during the membership meeting, which also highlighted a local business making a big impact in the community. Millison Casting Technology was named the January Member of the Month and received a plaque honoring the company’s commitment to long-term growth, job creation, and manufacturing excellence.

Millison Casting Technology, LLC (MCT), a high-pressure die casting manufacturer, was established in Sallisaw on June 9, 2024, and has already experienced significant growth. The company has completed rapid project development and built a skilled local production team to support its expanding operations. With integrated manufacturing capabilities across North America, MCT is able to respond quickly to customer needs while delivering quality-driven solutions. The Sallisaw facility plays a key role in executing advanced die casting projects efficiently and at scale.

MCT currently holds production contracts with Tesla and Franklin WH, with additional projects in development. To meet increasing demand, the company has moved to continuous operations and now runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Company leaders expressed pride in investing in the Sallisaw community.

The meeting also featured guest speakers Justin McCall and Shannon Davis with Our Blood Institute (OBI), formerly known as the Oklahoma Blood Institute. OBI is a nonprofit blood center serving Oklahoma, Arkansas, and North Texas, providing blood to more than 240 hospitals, air ambulances, and medical facilities. The organization also supports cell therapies and biomedical research through its subsidiary, BioLinked.

Davis, manager of client relations, brings more than 14 years of nonprofit experience and has been with OBI for over four years. McCall, an account consultant, has been with the organization for two years. Both speakers emphasized the importance of blood donation and the critical role of community involvement in maintaining a safe and reliable blood supply, noting that a single donation can help save up to 3 lives.
