Sallisaw Animal Care Facility to Host Free Microchipping and Vaccination Clinic

Friday, August 22, 2025 - The Sallisaw Animal Care Facility, in partnership with Sequoyah Animal Advocates, is hosting a free microchipping and vaccination clinic on Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sallisaw Creek Park, located just west of town on Highway 64.

City residents can receive free pet microchips with proof of residency, while those living outside city limits can have their pets microchipped for just $10 each.

The clinic will also provide free vaccinations, including rabies and DAPP shots for dogs, and FVRCP shots for cats. Dogs and cats of all ages are welcome.

In addition to microchipping and vaccinations, the event will feature prizes and giveaways while supplies last.

Organizers extend special thanks to the Cherokee Nation Office of Environmental Health and Petco Love, a nonprofit dedicated to changing lives by supporting pet health and wellness.
