Wednesday, June 29, 2022 - Farmers markets are popping up all over the area, making the availability of fresh produce more accessible to community members. One local town is following this trend but will be offering more than just fresh produce and homemade crafts.
The Town of Roland recently announced the "Roland Saturday Social Market" will open on July 9 at the Roland City Park. The event will take place on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
The Roland Saturday Social Market will be similar to a traditional farmers market, except it will provide area businesses the opportunity to be included in the weekly event.
Local businesses and boutiques will not only be allowed to sell their merchandise but will also be able to recruit new employees by setting up hiring booths. No flea market or yard sale items will be allowed.
