Roland's Iron Mountain Festival set for July 2

Wednesday, June 8, 2022 - Organizers of the Iron Mountain Festival in Roland are gearing up for the town’s annual July 4 celebration and fireworks show. This year's event will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2 and will last until the fireworks show concludes.

This event has grown over the past few years, and will be offering more activities and entertainment than in previous years. There will be vendors on site selling arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, as well as a variety of foods and sweets available to satisfy the entire family.

The Roland Fire Department will be present holding a turkey drop with tickets available to purchase for $10 each with a $1000 payout.

The kiddos will have the chance to jump the afternoon away on inflatables, plus meet the clowns Buttercup and Daisy Mae. This year, the Roland Chamber of Commerce has added a gellyball course and glow foam, which will be available to guests one hour prior to the fireworks spectacular.

A double-elimination cornhole tournament will be hosted by the chamber and the Black Diamond Baggers. Players can begin checking in at 3:00 p.m. and bags will start flying at 4:00. The entry fee per team is $40 with an 80% payout.

Live music will feature Trey Russell, Rezervation Road, and The MIX 105.1, who will be broadcasting live all afternoon.

The chamber will be holding giveaways and prizes each hour and have many items up for grabs. Some of the town's prize sponsors include Harps in Roland, Arby's, Farm Bureau of Roland, Sonoma properties and many more!

The evening will conclude with the finale of an extra-special fireworks display sponsored by the Cherokee Nation and the Town of Roland. This fireworks display is always exceptional and a show you definitely don’t want to miss.
