Monday, April 17, 2023 - The Roland Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2nd Annual Kids Fishing Derby on April 29 at Roland Lake. The fishing derby is for youth 16 and under who are pre-registered prior to the event.
Youth will be assigned time slots for fishing based on the order of their pre-registration. The first wave of fishing begins at 8:30 a.m., with the second wave starting at 10:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to start time to ensure supplies are ready.
Prizes will be awarded for both the biggest and most fish caught. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and those 16 years of age and younger are encouraged to wear a life jacket.
