Wednesday, January 4, 2023 - The Sequoyah County Fair Board will be hosting the River Valley Pig Gig on January 14. The show will take place at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds at 10 a.m.
Online entry is $20 and closes on Jan. 7. The cost for entry on the day of the show is $25. Showmanship entry is $5. All entries are due by 9 a.m. on the day of the show.
Pen and trailer spots can be reserved until availability runs out. A map of available spots can be found on the River Valley Pig Gig Facebook page.
The show will offer buckles for overall and reserve champions, cash, and banners for all breed champions. There will also be drawings held throughout the event.
In addition, there will be a $500 grand prize, a $350 reserve, and cash for all breed champions.
The River Valley Pig Gig Judge is Chris Hofschulte. Peewee (9 and under), Junior (10-13), and Senior (14 and up) divisions are available.
A full concession will be available, including a hot breakfast, burgers, and more. All proceeds raised will go toward supporting the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds.
