Wednesday, October 11, 2023 - A Sallisaw man was charged Sept. 18 with failure to register as a sex offender, court records show.
Jesse Ray Riddle, 30, faces up to 5 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000 if he is convicted of the felony charge.
On Sept. 14, a probation and parole officer informed a Sequoyah County sheriff’s deputy that Riddle had missed two appointments with her.
On Sept. 15, a deputy went to the home of the man’s mother, to see if he could get in touch with her son, but she stated that she had not seen him.
On Sept. 18, the individual with whom Riddle was reported to be staying with went to the sheriff’s office to talk to a deputy about Jesse Riddle. According to the affidavit filed in the case, the individual stated taht Riddle was “back on the dope” and “really messing up.” He also noted that Riddle had not been to his house in at least a week
A felony arrest warrant for Riddle was filed on Sept. 25.
