Thursday, May 4, 2023 - Ready, set, and gooooo downtown to the 2nd annual Diamond Daze half marathon, 5k, and fun run hosted by the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce. Races will take place on Saturday, May 6, at 220 West Creek in Sallisaw.
If you have been on the fence about running your first race, then you're in luck. First-time runners have several options to choose from. A 5k and a fun run will begin on Saturday at 7:10 a.m. The 5K cost is $30, and the fun run is free!
For advanced runners, a half marathon is available and costs $70.00. The half marathon is scheduled to start at 7 a.m., with the cutoff set for 11 a.m.
Early packet pickup is available on Friday, May 5, from 12–6 p.m. at the Pocket Park in Sallisaw. Race day packet pickup and registration are Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 6:00–7:00 a.m. at the race Start/Finish line at the Old Sallisaw High School next to the Sequoyah County Boys and Girls Club.
Half-marathon and 5K finishers will receive a medal and a Sport Tek T-shirt. All proceeds go to the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce. For more information, go to http://www.runsignup.com/diamonddaze.
