Emergency services were dispatched at approximately 3:30 p.m. after receiving reports of sustained injuries from a solo skydive.
Emergency services arrived quickly and tended to 44-year-old Heather Glasgow of Poteau after the incident was reported. Glasgow was transported to Northeastern Health Systems' Sequoyah.

Glasgow struck the ground after an unknown issue arose during the skydive. Witnesses stated Glasgow’s parachute had fully deployed, but she was in a spin that she did not recover out of.
