
Tuesday, March 12, 2024 - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Matthew Carl Cripps, age 43, of Poteau was sentenced to 240 months in prison for one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine.
The charges arose from investigations by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
On March 13, 2023, Cripps pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine. According to investigators, Cripps sold 24 grams of methamphetamine on November 15, 2021, and was responsible for the distribution of over 50 kilograms of methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Oklahoma between November 2021 and February 2022.
Cripps was remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
