Pawsitive Pets Event Returns to Downtown Sallisaw April 11

Monday, March 23, 2026 — Pet lovers across the area are invited to mark their calendars as the second annual Pawsitive Pets event returns to downtown Sallisaw on Saturday, April 11.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lawn of Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library and nearby Pocket Park, offering a full day of activities for pets and their owners.

Hosted in cooperation with Sequoyah Animal Advocates, Inc., Pawsitive Pets aims to promote responsible pet ownership while providing fun, educational opportunities for the community.

Free pet vaccinations and microchipping will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. on the library lawn, giving pet owners a convenient way to help protect their animals’ health.

Dog owners can also take advantage of free training sessions, which are scheduled to take place at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and noon.

The event will wrap up with a pet pageant at 1 p.m. at Pocket Park, where pets will compete in various categories, including Best Behaved, Best Dressed, Most Talented, and Best of Show.

Organizers encourage families to bring their pets and enjoy a day filled with activities, learning opportunities, and community connection.

Pawsitive Pets continues to grow as a popular local event, celebrating the bond between people and their animals while bringing the community together in the heart of downtown Sallisaw.
