Monday, April 10, 2023 - The 42nd annual Sequoyah County Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) Quilt Show will be held April 14 and 15.
The show will take place at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds on Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The admission fee is $5 per person.
Once entering the show, be sure to stop by and register to win a handmade queen-size carpenter star quilt. Tickets will be $2 each, or you can purchase three for $5.
Although it's called a quilt show, quilts won't be the only items showcased during this year's event. There will be many handmade crafts for sale and an array of homemade baked goods, such as pies, candy, and cinnamon rolls up for grabs.
On Friday, the OHCE ladies will offer their famous chicken and dressing lunch for $10 per plate. The dinner comes with chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and assorted salads.
On Saturday, there will be an open concession serving soup, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks.
