Wednesday, June 2, 2021 - A Muldrow woman was arrested May 5 and charged with malicious injury to property (over $1,000), a felony, according to court records.
Angela Gaile Young, 47, faces up to two years in the State Penitentiary and/or a fine of up to $1,000 if convicted. She was also charged with public intoxication, a misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $5,000.
On May 4, a pair of Muldrow police officers were in the area of Southeast 7th and Birch streets in Muldrow in search of a possible prowler. While they were there, the officers heard screaming, and around the same time, a call of breaking and entering was dispatched to a residence around the corner from where the officers were posted.
When they arrived at the scene, the officers encountered Young, who was at the front door of the residence saying people were after her. She was holding a square piece of tubing that had been cut and had sharp edges on it. She was bleeding from her right hand. Young explained that she got the metal to get someone to come to the door.
Young smelled strongly of alcohol, according to the police report, and she appeared to be under the influence of drugs. She was transported to the Sequoyah County Jail, where it was discovered that she had three outstanding warrants.
