Moffett Community Block Party for Christ Promises Food, Fun, and Fellowship May 2

Friday, April 24, 2026 — Get ready for an afternoon packed with family fun, uplifting entertainment, and community spirit as the Moffett Community Block Party for Christ returns on Saturday, May 2.

The free event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the corner of Belt Avenue and 7th Street on the Moffett School softball field. Families from Moffett, Roland, Dora, and surrounding communities are invited to bring a lawn chair, gather with friends and neighbors, and enjoy a day full of excitement for all ages.

The celebration intends to bring people together in a positive, welcoming atmosphere centered on faith, friendship, and family values. Organizers say the event is all about creating memories, building connections, and enjoying time together as a community.

Music lovers can expect a full lineup of Christian music throughout the day, featuring various styles sure to keep the crowd entertained and inspired. From uplifting praise music to energetic performances, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Car enthusiasts will also have plenty to admire as members of the Fort Smith Antique Car Club arrive with a collection of classic and vintage vehicles sure to turn heads.

Children will have no shortage of fun with games, bounce houses, a dunk tank, and more. Organizers say the goal is to make sure kids stay active, engaged, and smiling all afternoon long.

Adding to the excitement will be a special strength demonstration featuring feats such as chopping blocks and other impressive performances.

No block party is complete without a variety of delicious treats, and this one offers something for everyone. Guests can enjoy free hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, candy, cold drinks, and more throughout the day.

The Block Party for Christ is being hosted by Moffett, Dora, Roland, the BOD, and local churches, with support from Sonic of Roland, People Inc., The Mix KXMX 105.1, Roberts Salvage Yard, and the City of Moffett.
