Meet Your Local Heroes at the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library on Friday May 30

Tuesday, May 27, 2025 —On Friday, May 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library in Sallisaw will host a special community event that brings local heroes face-to-face with the public.
Children and families are invited to come out and meet first responders from several area agencies, including the Sallisaw Police Department, Sallisaw Fire Department, Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office, Pafford EMS, the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles, ask questions, and take photos with their favorite local heroes. This is a unique chance to connect with the men and women who serve and protect the community every day, while also learning more about the roles they play in keeping the community safe.
The event is free and open to the public and is sure to be a fun and educational experience for all ages.
The Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library is located at 101 E Cherokee Ave, in Sallisaw.
