Local Deputy Injured in Accident While Responding to Emergency Call

Wednesday, September 2, 2026 — A Sequoyah County deputy was seriously injured Tuesday, September 1, while responding to an emergency call north of Muldrow.
According to the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Autumn Reed was involved in an accident while responding to the call. Reed sustained a severe compound fracture to her arm, along with several other minor injuries.
She was transported by medical helicopter to Fayetteville, where she underwent surgery.
The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to keep Reed, her family, and the medical team caring for her in their thoughts and prayers as she begins her recovery.
