JRT Trucking has been in business since 2006, with their main focus being frac sand delivery for oil field exploration. The business also utilizes a fleet of over 120 trucks in various other avenues.
JRT Trucking’s corporate office is located in Sallisaw, with a separate hub site in Greenwood, LA. The business continues to grow, adding equipment and employees to their fleet every day.
Kathy Adair, Director of Business and Industry Services at Indian Capital Technology Center (ICTC), was the guest speaker for the month. Adair gave an overview of programs offered through ICTC’s business and industry services.
Adair discussed the Training for Industry Program (TIP) and the APEX Accelerators program.
According to ICTC information, "TIP is designed for out-of-state businesses relocating in our state and for expanding companies presently located in Oklahoma. Programs are custom-tailored to meet the specific needs of the company. TIP is provided at no cost, with the only requirement being the creation of new jobs in Oklahoma.
APEX Accelerators provides local businesses with the resources and know-how to successfully obtain government contracts. A few of the services offered include: customized bid matches; System of Award Management registrations (SAM); along with specialized workshops, seminars, and many more.
