Thursday, April 18, 2024 - Early Wednesday morning Pocola police were dispatched to a residence where they found the body of a deceased female. A call had been placed to the police by a female member.
Authorities are not releasing the cause of death but have stated that foul play was evident. They did state that the woman's husband could possibly be responsible.
Three children were located in the home. They are reportedly safe and with family members.
The husband's body was later found north of Muldrow on property belonging to family. He appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigations into the two deaths are continuing but authorities state that they do not believe any other suspects are involved and there is no threat to the public.
No names have been released at this time.
