ICTC Honors Sequoyah County Teachers of the Year

 


Tuesday, May 12, 2026 — Some of Sequoyah County’s most dedicated educators were honored last week during the annual Sequoyah County Teacher of the Year Luncheon hosted by Indian Capital Technology Center at the Sharp Multipurpose Center on the Sallisaw campus.


The event recognized teachers from school districts across the county for the difference they make each day in their students' lives. Administrators, fellow educators, and community members gathered to celebrate the honorees and their commitment to education, leadership, and student achievement.


Teachers recognized during the luncheon included:

·        Central — Ms. Blair Holloway

·        Central — Ms. Lisa Dotson

·        Marble City — Ms. Zena Stafford

·        Moffett — Ms. Debbie Jones

·        Muldrow — Ms. Elizabeth Rosenberg

·        Roland — Ms. Krista Howard

·        Sallisaw — Mr. Max Knoke

·        Vian — Ms. Kim Mayhall

·        Vian — Ms. Mona Bennett

·        Vian — Ms. Charlotte Trotter (not pictured)

·        Gans — Mr. Dylan Woodruff (not pictured)


Throughout the event, educators were praised for the care, encouragement, and guidance they provided students throughout the school year. The luncheon also highlighted the important role teachers play in shaping future generations, both academically and personally.


As another school year comes to a close, the annual luncheon served as a reminder of the lasting impact teachers continue to have in classrooms and communities across Sequoyah County.

The event extended congratulations to all the teachers honored for their unwavering dedication, compassion, and service to students throughout the county.
