Gore woman killed in Wednesday accident


Thursday, September 1, 2022 - A 33-year-old Gore woman was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident north of Gore.


According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) report, the accident occurred Wednesday evening approximately 150 feet south of 990 Rd and 1/4 miles north of Gore.


Meghan Lane was reportedly driving a 2019 Hyundai Tucson northbound on OK Hwy 100 when her vehicle traveled left of center on a curve and struck a second vehicle driven by 40-year-old Amanda McKinley, also of Gore.


Lane was pronounced dead on the scene. McKinley was transported by Air Evac to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where she was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.


Lane was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.


The OHP was assisted at the scene by the Gore Police and Fire Departments, Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office, Pafford EMS and Air Evac.
