Gore boy hoping to win national mullet contest

Friday, July 14, 2023 - "The Ultimate Showdown for the Most Epic Mullet" is how the USA Mullet Championship describes itself and one 13- year-old Gore boy is hoping to win the title in his age category.

Logan Lease has been growing his mullet, which he refers to as "The Oklahoma Waterfall" for two years. This is his second year competing in the contest and his first year to compete in the teen division.

Logan describes himself as, "A young man who loves to fish, respects the hunt of wildlife, embraces the early morning hunt in a duck blind, a young man who respects his elders, attends church with his mother, protects the ones who he calls friends, and lastly who wears his mullet like a champ!'

The championship event isn't just about fun hair styles. All proceeds from the contest are donated to Jared Allen's Home for wounded warriors to help US military veterans. The organization has raised over $32,000 so far in the 2023 championship season.

But Logan needs your help to move on to the next round. Voting runs through Monday, July 17 and you can vote once every 24 hours. at the link below.

Logan stated he is very excited to be competing and has no plans to cut his mullet anytime soon. So go give Logan a vote and help him take care of "business in the front and party in the back".
