Tuesday, July 14, 2026 — The Garrison Creek Riding Club Rodeo is saddling up for another exciting weekend of western tradition, thrilling competition, and family fun as it returns to Muldrow on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18. Whether you're a longtime rodeo fan or attending for the first time, organizers say this year's event will offer something for all ages.
The excitement begins each evening at 7:30 p.m. with one of the rodeo's biggest crowd favorites, Mutton Bustin'. Watch as young cowboys and cowgirls climb aboard sheep and do their best to hang on for the ride, creating some of the night's biggest smiles and loudest cheers from the crowd.
The main rodeo performance gets underway at 8 p.m. and features a full slate of action-packed events showcasing the skill, speed, and determination of contestants from across the region. Fans can look forward to bareback riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, ladies breakaway roping, barrel racing, ranch bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, and the always crowd-pleasing bull riding.
Adding to the excitement, the Mix 105.1 will be broadcasting live from the rodeo, bringing music, interviews, and event updates throughout the evening.
The entertainment continues after Saturday night's rodeo with a special live performance by Libby Starks, followed by a rodeo dance featuring a live band, giving attendees even more reason to stick around after the final ride.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under the age of 6, making it an affordable evening of family entertainment.
Contestants planning to compete should note that books open Monday, July 13, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Entries can be made by calling 501-730-5330.
For generations, the Garrison Creek Riding Club Rodeo has been a summertime tradition in Sequoyah County, bringing together families, friends, and rodeo enthusiasts.
Organizers invite everyone to bring their family and friends, cheer on their favorite contestants, and experience two memorable nights under the arena lights.
