Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-40 Claims Life of Florida Man

Sunday, August 3, 2025 — A 69-year-old Florida man died early Sunday morning following a multi-vehicle crash in Sequoyah County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 1:35 a.m. on Interstate 40 near the Highway 64 exit and involved three vehicles.

John W. Beahn of Fruitland Park, Florida, was a passenger in one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The driver of the vehicle Beahn was riding in sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

According to the OHP, the drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
