Tuesday, October 26, 2021 - The Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce has been busy gearing up for their annual EVIVVA auction and fundraiser. The auction will be virtual once again this year and will take place tonight from 7-9 p.m. The auction can be viewed live on The Mix 105.1 Facebook page.
Executive Director Marty Green explained that The MIX 105.1 will again be the host for the evening and will live stream the event via their Facebook page. "We are excited to continue our partnership with The MIX," Green said.
The auction will also be broadcast on MixTV Channel 19, Green added. The bidding process for the virtual auction is simple. Viewers will tune into the live event on The MIX 105.1 Facebook page beginning at 7 p.m. Items up for auctions will be shown and viewers can place their bids in the comment section. The person with the highest bid at the close of the time allowed for that item will be the winner. The auction will then move on to the next item.
“EVIVVA is the main fundraiser for the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce each year. All money raised from the auction goes back into the community and allows us to bring new, family friendly events and activities to the town throughout the year,” Green stated.
This year's auction is set to be one of the biggest. Items up for bid will include a Thunder basketball package, a casino package, a Blackstone grill, a drone, hunting items, a hoverboard, a Beef package, an outdoor pizza oven, delicious food items, a tailgate package, a variety of gift baskets and many other items. The Mix will also be providing a Dream Event package including tickets to see Eric Church in concert, a performance of Hamilton in Little Rock and OU/Arkansas basketball tickets.
"We have a lot of amazing items and are excited to showcase them all on Tuesday evening," Green said. "All featured items have been donated by gracious individuals and businesses within our community."
Items can be paid for and picked up at the Sallisaw Chamber Office located at 101 N. Wheeler Ave during regular business hours. If you have any questions regarding EVIVVA, contact the Chamber at 918-775-2558.
