Easter Egg Hunts Planned Across Sequoyah and Cherokee Counties

Thursday, March 26, 2026 — Area families will have several opportunities to celebrate Easter this year, with egg hunts and community events scheduled across Sequoyah and Cherokee counties in the coming weeks.

Woodland Hills Church will kick off the festivities with its 3rd annual Community Easter "EggStravaganza" on Saturday, March 28, at Roland City Park. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature Easter egg hunts, bounce houses, food trucks, prizes, and activities for children of all ages.

Later that afternoon, the Marble City Volunteer Fire Department will host its Easter Egg Hunt at Marble City School beginning at 2 p.m. on March 28. The event will include plenty of eggs and surprises, with age divisions for 4 and under, ages 5–8, and ages 9–12. Children are encouraged to bring their baskets.

Additional events are scheduled for the following week.

Cherokee Nation First Lady January Hoskin will host the Cherokee Nation Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 3, at 11 a.m. at One Fire Field, located west of the Cherokee Nation Complex.

On Saturday, April 4, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office will hold an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 10 a.m. at Keys Elementary School, on the playground off East 840 Road between the school and the softball fields.

Also on April 4, Tenkiller State Park will host an Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to noon at Crappie Point. Hunts will be held in separate age groups, including toddlers to age 4, ages 5–8, and ages 9 and up.

In Muldrow, the Muldrow VFW Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10 a.m. April 4, featuring three age divisions and $50 cash prizes in each group. The Easter Bunny will also be on site for photos. The Town of Muldrow will also host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. on April 4, though organizers did not provide a location.

The Webbers Falls Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Town of Webbers Falls and ECOWA, will host an Easter egg hunt at Webbers Falls Park beginning at 1 p.m. April 4, with multiple age groups participating.

Churches are also preparing special Easter celebrations. Vian Assembly of God will host a Resurrection Day Celebration and Service on Sunday, April 5, at 10:45 a.m. at the church located at 205 Schley St. in Vian. The celebration will include a fellowship meal and an Easter egg hunt following the service.

With egg hunts, prizes, church celebrations, and family activities planned across the region, organizers say the events offer a great opportunity for families to celebrate the Easter season and enjoy time together in their communities.
