Early Sunday crash injures two Stilwell men



Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 - Two Stilwell men were injured early Sunday in a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 51 at 810 Road, 2.2 miles west of Stilwell in Adair County, according to an OHP report.


The report states that a 2014 Ford Focus driven by Ethan Hummingbird, 23, was traveling eastbound on Highway 51 when the vehicle crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeremy Croley, 45.


Hummingbird was transported by First Flight to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark., where he was admitted in stable condition with leg, arm and head injuries. Croley was transported by a privately owned vehicle to W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, where he was admitted in stable condition with a head injury. There were no other passengers in either vehicle.


According to the report, Hummingbird was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, but Croley was not.


The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Stilwell Fire and Rescue, Pafford EMS and the Adair County Sheriff's Office.
