Friday, October 28, 2022 - Tenkiller State Park's Driftwood Nature Center in Vian will host two days of Halloween fun on October 29 and 30.
On Saturday, Oct. 29, get ready for all-day trick or treating at the Nature Center. A pumpkin carving contest will be held at 10 a.m. with areas set up for individuals to carve their own pumpkins. Carving tools will not be provided, so be sure to bring your own!
At 1 p.m., let your imagination run wild while making your own Halloween mask. Whether it’s scary or sweet, a ghastly ghoul or a pretty princess, it’s up to you to decide. Just let your imagination run wild.
Driftwood Nature Center never leaves out their youngest visitors. At 4 p.m., an egg hunt will take place just for children that are 4 years old and under.
Once the sun sets and darkness fills the sky, children aged 5 and up get the chance to hunt for spooky eggs. At 7:30 p.m., children will meet at Shelter 2, just behind the Nature Center, to hunt for blacklight eggs. Blacklights will not be provided, so bring your own.
On Sunday, October 30, visitors can join the Nature Center for rock painting at 11 a.m. Kiddos can paint a rock to take home or share with a friend.
At 2 p.m., it’s time to decorate the Nature Center. All ages are welcome to help decorate the Nature Center for the spooky season with a crafting project.
It is important to note that all children will need to be accompanied by a parent or adult during each activity.
If you have any questions or would like additional information, contact the Nature Center at 918-489-5641.
