Sunday June 21, 2026 — Community members will have the opportunity to make a life-saving difference and possibly win a once-in-a-lifetime experience during an upcoming blood drive at Northeastern Health System (NHS) in Sallisaw.
The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) will host the NHS Sequoyah Blood Drive on Tuesday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Bloodmobile will be parked on the NHS Sequoyah campus for donors to visit.
The blood drive comes at a critical time as OBI reports an emergency need for blood donations across the region. More than 29,000 units of blood are transfused every day across the United States, and every donation has the potential to help save lives.
In addition to helping patients in need, everyone who donates will be entered for a chance to participate in an exclusive 60-minute, live, unscripted, in-person question-and-answer session with Oklahoma City Thunder Jaylin Williams.
Organizers encourage healthy, eligible donors to take advantage of the opportunity to support the area's blood supply while also entering for a chance to meet one of Oklahoma's favorite hometown athletes.
Every blood donation can impact multiple lives, making just one hour of your time an opportunity to provide hope and healing to patients facing emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, and other serious medical conditions.
If you plan to attend, you can search for the exact time and schedule your donation appointment directly through the Our Blood Institute Event Page; however, walk-ins are welcome.
Northeastern Health System is located at 213 East Redwood Street in Sallisaw.
